ISO 7089:2000 specifies plain washers, normal series, product grade A, for metric bolts and screws from M1.6 to M36. It is the current international standard behind the legacy DIN 125 A designation, and the two call out the same dimensions — all 29 sizes in our compiled table match. This page gives the complete size table with tolerances and theoretical weight per 1.000 pieces.
d1 is the inner diameter — it must clear the thread of the bolt, which is why the washer size is not the same number as the thread size (an M10 bolt uses the 10.5 washer). d2 is the outer diameter and h the thickness; the table gives the minimum and maximum of each. The last column is the theoretical weight per 1.000 pieces, useful for freight and packing estimates — check it against actual weight for pricing. Per-size pages: ISO 7089 size chart. For any other size, use the weight calculator.
Washers are quoted in carbon steel and stainless steel (A2 / A4). Standard finishes are zinc plating, hot-dip galvanizing, zinc-nickel and dacromet; hardness class and coating class follow the drawing or the order. For stainless grades see mechanical properties, and for coating comparisons see surface treatment.
State the size (washer size or the thread it fits), material and grade (carbon steel, A2, A4), finish and quantity. If the drawing calls DIN 125 A, say so — the dimensions are the same and we quote either designation.
Dimensionally yes. In our compiled data all 29 sizes match DIN 125 A size by size (d1, d2, h and weight). DIN 125 A is the legacy German designation; ISO 7089:2000 is the current international standard.
The normal series runs from washer size 1.7 mm (for M1.6 thread) up to 37 mm (for M36 thread). The table on this page lists every size with its tolerances.
d1 is the inner diameter (clearance for the thread), d2 the outer diameter and h the thickness. The table gives the minimum and maximum of each.
Size 10.5: inner diameter 10.5–10.77 mm, outer diameter 19.48–20 mm, thickness 1.8–2.2 mm, about 3.57 kg per 1.000 pieces.
ISO 7089 is the plain (unchamfered) washer; ISO 7090 is the chamfered version of the same normal series. They are not interchangeable when the chamfer matters.
Carbon steel and stainless steel (A2 / A4). Standard finishes include zinc plating, hot-dip galvanizing and zinc-nickel; hardness class and coating class are confirmed on the drawing or order.
The last column gives the theoretical weight per 1.000 pieces: for example a size 10.5 washer is about 3.57 kg per 1.000 pcs. Values are geometric estimates, not a weighing certificate.
DIN 125 A is a legacy designation still widely used on drawings; the current international dimension standard is ISO 7089:2000. Both call out the same washer dimensions.
Dimensions and weights: ISO 7089:2000 normal series table, compiled in our data set (source: fasteners.eu, retrieved 2026-10-28), cross-checked against DIN 125 A — 29 of 29 sizes identical. Weight values are theoretical per 1.000 pieces. Page last reviewed: 2026-10-29.
