ISO 4032:2023 specifies hexagon regular nuts (style 1) in steel and stainless steel, with metric coarse pitch threads from M1.6 to M64, in product grades A and B. It is the current international standard behind the legacy DIN 934 designation, and the two call out the same dimensions — all 29 sizes in our compiled table match. This page gives the complete nut tables with tolerances, theoretical weight per 1,000 pieces and the DIN 934 equivalence.

Geometric estimate at 7.85 g/cm³, ±5%, excluding coating and chamfers — not a weighing certificate. Use the weight calculator for other sizes.
Nuts are quoted in carbon steel and stainless steel (A2 / A4), with the same finish options as the matching bolts: zinc plating, hot-dip galvanizing, zinc-nickel and dacromet. For stainless grades see mechanical properties; coating comparisons are in surface treatment.
State the size (M10, M12 …), property class or stainless grade, finish, and quantity. If the drawing says DIN 934, say so — the dimensions are the same and we quote either designation.
Dimensionally yes. In our compiled data all 29 sizes match DIN 934 size by size (P, c, da, dw, e, m, mw and s). DIN 934 is the legacy German designation; ISO 4032:2023 is the current international standard.
ISO 4032 covers hexagon regular nuts, style 1 — the standard-height nut. Style 2 nuts are taller and are covered by a different standard; do not substitute one for the other when height matters.
Preferred threads run from M1.6 to M64. Non-preferred sizes (M3.5, M14, M18, M22, M27, M33, M39, M45, M52, M60) are in the third table on this page.
The M10 nut: width across flats s = 16 mm, nut height m = 8.4 mm, across-corners e = 17.77 mm, bearing face dw = 14.6 mm.
c = chamfer, da = thread minor diameter at the nut face, dw = bearing face diameter (min), e = width across corners (min), m = nut height, s = width across flats. All values are in millimetres.
Property class selection for steel nuts follows ISO 898-2 and for stainless nuts ISO 3506-2. Our data set currently lists A2-70 and A4-70 stainless grades; steel classes are confirmed against the drawing or order.
See the weight table: an M10 nut is about 9.44 kg per 1,000 pieces; M16 about 34.59 kg per 1,000. Values are geometric estimates, not a weighing certificate.
DIN 934 is a legacy designation still widely used on drawings; the current international standard is ISO 4032:2023. Both call out the same nut dimensions.
Dimensions: ISO 4032:2023 hexagon regular nuts (style 1) table, compiled in our data set (source: fasteners.eu, retrieved 2026-10-28) and cross-checked against DIN 934 — 29 of 29 sizes identical.
